Amprolium (INN, trade names Amprovine, Amprolium, Amprol, Anticoccid) is a coccidiostat used in poultry.
The product is a thiamine analogue and blocks the thiamine transporter of Eimeria species. By blocking thiamine uptake it prevents carbohydrate synthesis.
FUNCTION OF AMPROLIUM HYDROCHLORIDE:
1. Amprolium hydrochloride has a strong control effect on various coccidiosis.
2. Amprolium hydrochloride is used to prevent and treat coccidiosis in poultry.
